Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Your not sure what to have for lunch. You want a Grilled Cheese Sandwich but you are not sure how to make it because you grew up and your mom always made you a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Not to worry Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are super easy to make.

The first thing you will need is 2 slices of bread. You will want to grab some butter. You will want to make sure that you aren’t using any butter that is too healthy because if you don’t have enough fat content in the butter the bread will stick to the pan. You will want to butter one side of each of the pieces of bread. You will then need to get the cheese and slice it, or you can use pre-sliced bread. I suggest not using the processed cheese because it’s not very appetizing but to each their own.

Once you have the bread buttered and the cheese sliced you can get your frying pan and put it on medium heat. Once the pan is heated up you can pop a slice of bread butter side down and then you’d put the cheese on the bread and then the 2nd piece of bread butter side up.

You will want to flip it every couple minutes. The first couple times you’ll want to be careful that the sandwich doesn’t fall apart as the cheese isn’t quite melted yet. Once both sides are golden brown and the cheese is nice and melty you can pull the sandwich off and cut it in half and you are ready to eat.

I sometimes will put a slice of ham inside to make it a grilled ham and cheese. If you are doing this, however, you will want to be super careful when you are flipping it as the ham won’t adhere to the bread so you’ll only have one slice of bread fully attached.

Another favorite of my wife is to dip her Grilled Cheese Sandwich into her Tomato soup on a cold winters day. Hope you enjoy your sandwich and can come up with your own favorite Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
