Boiling an Egg
Have you ever wanted a Hard Boiled Egg sandwich but you didn’t know how to make a Hard Boiled Egg? You are in luck because boiling an egg is fairly simple. You put your egg in the bottom of your sauce pan and cover the egg(s) with cold Water. You use cold water because it minimizes the amount of cracking the egg does when you are boiling the egg. You can put a little bit of salt in the water. It will make the egg congeal so it looks better if the shell does crack.
Put the pan on the burner on medium heat and put the lid on the saucepan. Once you have the water up to a rolling boil you will want to set a timer for 7 – 10 minutes. Once the timer goes off, drain the water and run the eggs under some cold water to stop the cooking process. Once they are cool enough to touch you can peel the eggs. If you peel them cold they will be easier to peel without the shell breaking into a million pieces.
Once you have the Hard Boiled Egg cooked and peeled you can make a sandwich, deviled eggs or my personal favorite is to make a Potato salad and add hard boiled eggs.
Hope this helps and you can find some tasty ways to enjoy your Hard Boiled Egg.
